In my early twenties I played a lot of football on Saturdays and Sundays. I also ran my own business which was based in Chippenham. I had my own industrial unit, employed 2 sales staff and my wife as the bookkeeper. We had purchased our own house and were expecting our first child at the end of the football season, everything looked fantastic on the horizon. Being a sensible chap, I asked my friend and financial adviser to arrange for something which would protect my earnings if I could not work because of a football injury which he said he would do!

I am now in my 35th year of financial services, he never arranged for me to be covered, I had my injury which meant I couldn't work for 4 months, my employees decided they would start their own business and take my customers with them, my premises were burgled, my daughter was born and I had to stop playing football.

All of the above is why I am totally committed to advising and protecting my clients and their families, plan for the unexpected as well as the things you know will happen sometime, like retirement.

I joined Gem FS in 2019 as a Mortgage Administrator. I then went on to join the Openwork Business School to gain my qualifications as a Mortgage and Protection Advisor, qualifying in September 2021. My role was to offer mortgage advice to all clients whether they were first time buyers, looking to move home or looking to remortgage their current property. I am very passionate about the Protection side as well and offer advice on all areas including Income protection, Life and Critical illness cover and business protection. In December 2023 I qualified as a holistic Financial Advisor and am now able to offer advice on Investments and Retirement planning as well as Mortgages and Protection.

Prior to joining Gem FS I worked as an Executive Assistant for a private equity firm in London. In my spare time I have two young children who keep me busy as well as enjoying dance classes, the theatre and eating out.

I joined Gem FS in 2023 having retired in 2021 after a long career in Financial Services & Banking which I started as a financial advisor working with Don many years ago! I eventually went on to experience many different roles within the industry becoming a Chartered Financial Planner along the way.
One year fully retired was enough and I now enjoy supporting Don, Danielle and their clients by providing paraplanning support which keeps my brain cells working.
I am a keen (but poor) golfer preferring to play in fair weather, mostly in Spain where my wife and I visit often.

I joined Gem Financial Services in September 2024 as the Office Manager.
For the past eleven years, I have experience selling new-build properties for a five-star builder.
In my spare time I enjoy going to watch horse racing, horse polo, clay pigeon shooting and the art of decoupage.

- 400k in five days, cycle across Cuba with 60 ladies, for the fight against breast, ovarian and cervical Cancer.
- 2014 £5km fun run dressed as a sumo (suit was inflated with a fan in the back) in Battersea Park London, the event set a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of runners in sumo suits!
- Tough Mudder to raise funds for RDA Oxford. (Riding for the Disabled) for a new indoor arena.
